American Red Cross launched a new mobile application earlier this week. The Team Red Cross App will allow people to sign up to help, get an overview on basic tasks and receive notifications about disaster volunteer opportunities in their community with their local Red Cross Chapter. This mobile application will bring great assistance to New Hampshire’s Volunteer Department during local emergencies.
Alaine Williams, our Regional Volunteer Manager is thrilled that there is one more way for the New Hampshire community to get involved with the Red Cross as a volunteer. ”This is a great App to help you get prepared for your volunteer service with the Red Cross,” said Williams. “It will help you decide how best to donate your time to the Red Cross.”
All of American Red Cross’ mobile apps are free to download and feature tools such as an emergency tool kit which contains a flash light, a quick message delivery system that connects to the user’s social media accounts to let their friends and family know that they are safe and the chance to test your knowledge on how prepared you are for disasters. The Team Red Cross App can be found in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store by searching for American Red Cross or by going to redcross.org/mobileapps.
